We went to the local nursing home for a community service program. It was a 15 minute bus drive and I had a chat with my friend . The nursing home was really big and luxurious.

When we got there I felt really nervous and like I had butterflies in my stomach. But when I meet my buddy Leonore I felt a lot better and they were really interesting. I was really excited to meet my buddy.

2 people played some music, after we were allocated to our buddies and then I got to know my buddy and I found out a lot about my her.

I learnt that my buddy Leonore was from Germany and that she had been at the nursing home for only 3 months. My buddy’s previous job was working at a comurtial office.

My favourite part about going to the nursing home is learning all about my buddy.

What was your favourite part of the nursing home visit? Why?

Hi, I’m Ned, I’m 10 years old and I have a brother and a sister and I love to do flips, play sports mostly basketball and I play Fortnite with my friends on my PlayStation 4 pro, I also love to play Minecraft. The sports I do are basketball, swimming and trampoline lessons with my best friend, in my spear time I do flips on my trampoline with my sister and also on my sisters air track which is an inflatable gym mat. I also love to go to my farm in kangaroo island.

At school my favourite subject is Maths and my favourite part is addition and I also like Chinese. And at recess and lunch I do basketball and flips with my friends and also tiggy.

Outside of school I do lots of flips and games with my sister, I also love to go swimming and play lots of basketball. I really love doing flips, they’re my favourite thing to do all the time and I’m getting better each day.

The best part of year 4 so far is the Carey swimming team trials and blogging because with in the swimming you can possibly make it to regionals and blogging is fun because you can share all your work.
